Yakuza 3 really rewards you for doing side stuff – get involved with Inner Fighter as soon as you can and learn the cigarette heat move. The double roll/cannonball heat move is a god send too – I think you learn it from a Revelation. And, of course, get Hell’s Floor learned as soon as you can.
