Though damage void active skill can stack onto others, it doesn’t mean the other two (attribute absorb / damage absorb) work the same. For instance, here’s an example shown on PadPadBlog, when you use the actives in this order: Attribute (Color) Damage Void Damage Absorb. Damage absorb (Fujin) actually overwrites attribute absorb.

There are 3 types of enemy absorb/void-shields in this game: damage absorb shield, damage void shield, and attribute absorb shield: Damage absorb shield: looks like a shield with purple/pink V’s. If a single hit of one of your monsters does damage over a specified threshold (depends on boss) that hit will heal the boss instead for that amount of damage (other hits lower will still damage the boss normally).
3/18/2020 · Damage Void is a newer mechanic compared to Absorption and is much better designed overall. Voids function similarly to Absorbs in that players cannot hit above a specific threshold but instead of healing them when overshooting, the damage is simply Voided out.
9/11/2017 · Fujin and Hiko allowed us to disregard damage absorb effects, Starry Night Bride Persephone allowed us to ignore attribute absorbs, and now, even damage void effects are practically harmless. One issue with the cards previously mentioned is that their success depended solely on the skill being ready by the time it’s needed.
